The agreement signed between the Cementerio Metropolitano, ECAVAL Limitada and the Municipality of Lo Espejo will allow the recovery of the Historical Monument that is located in the place where the remains of Víctor Jara, Littré Quiroga and other three people who have not been identified were found, after severe damage at the end of 2017 due to the discharge of approximately 40,000 m3 of topsoil, aggregates and debris.

In compliance with current regulations, said agreement was brought to the attention of the Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales, in order to obtain the necessary authorizations for the intervention of the Monument.

The agreement, in addition, will be able to end to diverse judicial procedures taken ahead by Cementerio Metropolitano, that had by object to make effective the responsibility by the damage caused to the Monument.

BSVV advised Cementerio Metropolitano in the dispute and subsequent agreement with various entities for the recovery of Historical Monument after damage caused by dumping of land and debris. The facts were reviewed by the Human Rights Commission of the Chamber of Deputies.
