Hernán Salinas gives a lecture on the International Dispute Settlement System at BSVV
.SHAREHernán Salinas, a prominent lawyer and professor of Public International Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica (PUC), visited the offices of Barros Silva Varela & Vigil on May 5. During his visit, the jurist talked with partners and associates about the International Dispute Settlement System between foreign investors and States.
Hernán Salinas has a law degree from the PUC, a Master's Degree in Legal Sciences from the same university and a Master's Degree in International Law from the University of Chile. He has also been Ambassador to the Organization of American States and the Netherlands, and was a member of the legal teams in litigation against Bolivia and Peru before the International Court of Justice.
This visit is part of the Friday Talks offered by the office, a space where once a month a prominent lawyer or a protagonist of current affairs visits the firm to talk about a particular topic.
